What it does
Music Dawn records an idea in one tap, from the app, the Lock Screen or Apple Watch, and plays it back mixed the moment you stop. Takes record in 24-bit lossless by default. The effects play on top, and the recorded file is never changed.
There are 16 studio effects, among them compression (including opto), tube, tape, delay, chorus and reverb, and presets like Vocal, Piano and Vintage. With headphones on, you hear yourself with EQ, compression and room while you record, and the take stays clean.
Chord and key detection (beta) writes the chords under the waveform. Every recording has notes for lyrics and chords; tap a time in a note to play from that moment. There is a tuner, and a metronome from 40 to 240 BPM with tap tempo. The library syncs between iPhone and iPad through the user's own iCloud. No account, no ads.

What's new in 1.3
- Notes on every recording, for lyrics, chords, capo or gear. They sync between iPhone and iPad.
- Put a time at the start of a line and tap it to play the take from there. Times show as marks on the waveform.
- Search finds words in notes, and library rows show a note's first line.
- Loud room, in Capture, records at a lower level so a loud piano or a band rehearsal doesn't distort.

Why it exists
I’m also a musician, and for many years every song idea I had went into Music Memos. When Apple retired it, I had to use Voice Memos, which isn’t made for musicians.
