MONITOR
Monitor gives a recording the gentle leveling and room sound a singer hears in headphones with Monitor on while recording. Add it to hear that sound on playback and in an export with effects.

AMOUNT
- Range
- 0% to 100%
- Default
- 50%
Adds more room sound as you turn it up, or makes the recording drier as you turn it down. The gentle leveling stays the same, so turning AMOUNT down does not turn the whole effect off.

For a sung idea, set AMOUNT to 50% to match the recording headphone voicing. If the words feel too distant, try 30% for less room while keeping the leveling.
Questions
Why does my recording sound different from what I heard in headphones?
Recording monitoring adds leveling and room sound only to what you hear; that sound is not baked into the saved recording. Add the Monitor effect at AMOUNT 50% to reproduce that voicing on playback.
Does AMOUNT control the compression too?
AMOUNT changes only the room sound. At 0% the room is gone but the leveling remains; bypass Monitor to hear the recording without either part of this effect.
